The Jaeger-LeCoultre Mark XI, is perhaps one of the finest military timepiece ever produced, only 2,950 were issued to military purpouse. A great Pilot’s watch, one of the most expensive commissions by a MOD anywhere. Made to the strict 6B/346 specifications, issued to navigators in the Royal Air Force (RAF). Stainless steel case measures 35mmfixed bars, screw caseback and a domed plexiglass. The caseback correctly engraved as designated when issued 2443/48. The dial is in excellent original condition, with its luminous material with a nice green patina. The Mark XI was an highly antimagnetic watch, achieved through the iron dial and iron dust cover, which creates a protection to the movement from magnetic fields. Powered by the JLC Calibre 488/SBr - a chronometer grade movement with a hack device and centre seconds. It is rhodium brass finished, the movement itself is marked with the British Broadarrow. The watch is in great condition and works properly.
