Benrus Type I class A, stainless steel one-piece case measures 38mm. Fixed bars force the use of pull-through or open-ended straps. Engraved on the back of the case with mil-spec 50717 dated November 1979. The bezel is coarsely notched, making rotation easy for the wearer, even with gloves on. The acrylic bezel insert has numeral marked hours 1 through 11 with minute dash markings from 1 to 20. The original dial features lumed markers at each hour: a triangle at 12; rectangles at 3, 6, and 9; and dots at the remaining hours. The Benrus Type I was produced for nearly a decade, from 1972 to 1980. This one is in overall nice and original condition.
